Former Manchester United and Amazulu coach Benni McCarthy has denied discussing a managerial role at Mamelodi Sundowns following his ‘coincidental’ meeting with Sundowns’ Technical director Flemming Berg.

According to Times Lives, McCarthy claimed his encounter with Flemming Berg happened randomly when the two were transiting through an airport in London, and the issue of the Mamelodi Sundowns coaching position was never brought up.
