Mamelodi Sundowns extended their Premiership lead by by six points after claiming a 2-0 win over Richards Bay courtesy of goals from Sales and Ribiero.

Supersport United dropped points against Stellenbosch FC in a one-all draw. SuperSport appeared more assertive and assured during the opening 15 minutes, however Stellies seized the lead in the 17th minute as Jayden Adams outpaced goalkeeper Thakasani Mbanjwa and Pogiso Sanoka at the near post, heading in a superb corner kick delivered by Fawaaz Basadien.

Sekhukhune United ended the year on a high by defeating Marumo Gallants 1-0 in heavy rain at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, December 28. Keletso Makgalwa’s decisive goal in the 67th minute secured the victory in Polokwane. The win lifted Babina Noko to fourth place in the Betway Premiership standings, one point ahead of Stellenbosch, who faced SuperSport United later that evening.
