Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena has revealed that the club are very close to competing the signing of a player which will be ‘very important’ for the rest of the season.
The Brazilians are currently cruising to a fifth consecutive league title with the current squad dominating all in front of them.
However, they are not content and look to add to that already powerful squad in the upcoming window according to Rhulani Mokwena
“Every window there is work to be done. I think we are very close to concluding one transfer, incoming. We are very close, but I am tight-lipped on that one,” Mokwena revealed after the 2-1 won over Baroka.
“The club will release a statement. We are close to signing a player who will be very important for us this season and we felt that we needed a bit more cover with regards to that. We don’t have that type of profile, and an interesting profile.
“Hopefully we can still strengthen with one or two others, but not too much business in this window. Maybe one or two to go out on loan,” Mokwena concluded.
