Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says his side are focusing on claiming three points against AmaZulu in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.
The Glamour Boys’ search for their first piece of silverware continues after they were eliminated from the Telkom Knockout Cup following their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Bidvest Wits on Saturday.
The 49-year-old wants Chiefs to put their cup woes behind them and start focusing on claiming maximum points when they travel to Usuthu.
“We knew the game was going to be very tight and robust. Unfortunately we had to play most of the game with one man down. But still, I thought we contained them well and scared them a few times in the second half,” Komphela told his club’s official website.
“Now that we are out of the cup, we have to focus our attention on the league,’ he added. ‘We will regroup and make sure we beat AmaZulu on Wednesday.”
Kaizer Chiefs will now turn their attention to the Absa Premiership when they take on AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday, with kick-off at 18:00.
