Sifiso Hlanti’s agent Sizwe Ntshangase has confirmed that the left back has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal at Bidvest Wits.
The 27-year-old joined the Clever Boys on a loan deal from National First Division side AmaZulu during the 2015-16 season’s January transfer window.
The former Golden Arrows left back impressed coach Gavin Hunt during his loan spell, racking up 35 appearances in all competitions, while picking up two assists in the process.
Hunt opted to hand the left back a one-year deal at the the end of the season, with an option to extend for a further two seasons.
Ntshangase has now confirmed that the Students have chosen to extend Hlanti’s two at the club, after helping the club clinch their maiden Absa Premiership title.
“Wits have exercised their two-year option on Sifiso Hlanti’s contract. The player is happy and the club is happy,” Ntshangase told Soccer Laduma.
Hlanti is currently with Bafana Bafana, who are set to take on Zambia in an international friendly match on Tuesday.
The match at the Moruleng Stadium kicks off at 19:00.
