Maritzburg United have completed the signing of midfielder Phumlani Ntshangase on a season-long loan from Bidvest Wits.
The 24-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at SuperSport United racking up 20 appearances in all competitions during the 2018-19 season.
‘We welcome Phumlani to the Team of Choice, he’s a local KZN boy and we expect to him to settle in well at our club,’ Maritzburg chairman Farook Kadodia told the club’s website.
‘A quality, well-rounded midfielder, Ntshangase will bring some different and exciting options to the game plan of the head coach.
‘I met Phumlani and found him to have a well-disciplined background – a player’s character is a key aspect, and we’re confident he’ll add good value to our team.’
Ntshangase now becomes the Team of Choice’s third signing following the arrival of Kwanda Mngonyama and Judas Moseamedi, respectively.
