Supersport United have announced the signing of young Zimbabwean striker Prince Dube from Zimbabwe outfit Highlanders.
The 20-year-old, who impressed while featuring for the Warriors during the Cosafa Cup, has now signed a four-year deal with Matsatsantsa.
The Zim striker has netted eight goals in 12 games for Highlanders this season in a scoring spree which has seen him being called up to the Zimbabwe national team, where he was again on the score sheet over the weekend against Namibia.
The club’s CEO, Stan Matthews, insists that Matsatsantsa do not want to put too much pressure on the young marksman ahead of the new campaign.
“Prince is a longer term play for us. He has good technique, pace and skill and can play both centrally and wide,” Matthews said.
“He may not be displacing Brockie or Grobler this season, but he has the makings of a top attacking player and we look forward to seeing how Eric progresses with him.”
