Aston Villa are closing in on a deal for Everton’s Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana for a reported fee in the region of £50m.
According to The Times, Villa are set to continue their early window spending spree by adding the dynamic midfielder to their ranks in the coming days.
Onana has been one of Everton’s top performers since his arrival from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2022, making 72 appearances as both a defensive midfielder and as a central midfielder.
The 22 year old will be joining Dutch international Ian Maatsen, Cameron Archer, Samuel Iling-Junior, Lewis Dobbin, Enzo Barrenchea and Ross Barkley in a spending spree that will surpass £150m.
