Premier League team of the week – Gameweek 7

Gameweek 7 of the Premier League saw Manchester United fumble at Old Trafford, a shock Manchester City loss and an officiating disaster-class at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

We used buildlineup.com to put our team onto paper, but our selections are explained below.
Goalkeeper 
Jose Sa – Wolves 
Wolves pulled off one of the shock victories of the season when they defeated Manchester City at the Molineux.  Portuguese goalkeeper Jose Sa was superb in between the sticks.  Sa made seven important saves to keep the defending champions at bay and secure three points.

Defenders
Levi Colwill – Chelsea 
English centerback Levi Colwill has had far from a dream return to Chelsea after returning from his loan at Brighton.  Colwill has been one of the more steady performers for the Blues and showed his class in their 2-0 victory over Fulham.  Colwill’ distribution is top tier and gave Mykhailo Mudryk a sensational pass to set up the first goal.

Tom Lockyer – Luton Town
Luton Town got their first ever Premier League win over Everton art Goodison Park.  Defender Tom Lockyer put the Hatters ahead and topped it off with a solid defensive performance overall.

Joachim Andersen – Crystal Palace 
Danish defender Joachim Andersen has really impressed with his performances this season.  Andersen has been adding to his defensive dominance with more contributions in the final third and scored a thunderous volley to give Crystal Palace the win at Old Trafford.

Kieran Trippier – Newcastle United
Kieran Trippier has continued the season where he left off the last.  Trippier is one of the best creators in the Premier League and has shown his quality with four assists in his last two appearances along with back to back clean sheets.

Midfielders
Jacob Ramsey – Aston Villa 
Young midfielder Jacob Ramsey is Aston Villa’s one to watch.  The 22-year-old already has three full Premier League campaigns under his belt.  Ramsey’s goal against Brighton was sensational, a top bins finish to make it 5-1.

Kai Havertz – Arsenal
King Kai Havertz has had a mixed start to his Arsenal career.  Mikel Arteta has deployed the German in a deeper midfield role and it has taken time to adjust.  Havertz scored his first goal for the Gunners in their 4-0 win over Bournemouth after successfully converting a penalty.

Mykhailo Mudryk – Chelsea 
Another big-money signing that has taken time to settle, Mykhailo Mudryk scored his first ever Premier League goal in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Fulham.

Bukayo Saka – Arsenal 
Starboy Saka made his mark once again this week, opening the scoring for Arsenal against Bournemouth.  Saka has already shown his improvement from last season, upping his output to match his performances week-in and week-out.

Ollie Watkins – Aston Villa 
Ollie Watkins tore Brighton to pieces.  Few would have foreseen such a demolition job but Watkins was central to Villa’s success.  A hattrick in addition to an assist wrapped up a spectacular day at the office for Aston Villa’s number eleven.

Hwang Hee-Chan – Wolves
“The Korean guy” came back at Pep Guardiola in the best way possible, by scoring the winner.  Wolves dug deep and managed to come away 2-1 winners with just a single shot on target.
