Andre Onana – Manchester United
Onana has seen his performances in goal scrutinized by fans across the Premier League, criticism that at times is misplaced. The Manchester United number one is performing at the levels of a top class goalkeeper.

Defenders:
Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool
The Scouse fullback has regained his world class status after a disappointing 2022/23 season. Trent has taken on the vice-captaincy and elevated his game, showing more maturity and discipline in his performances. His goal against Manchester City was of the highest quality and it was a great way to round off his man-of-the-match display.
“He’s got the material to be the very best right back of all time.”

Teden Mengi – Luton Town
The Hatters have adjusted well to the Premier League. Luton have surprised every team they have faced and managed an important win over Crystal Palace. This would not have been possible without the efforts of Central defender Teden Mengi. Mengi has improved with every game he has played and was rewarded for his passion and effort with an important goal.

Jamaal Lascelles – Newcastle United
If one had asked Newcastle fans if they saw Jamaal Lascelles making his return to their starting XI consistently, let alone becoming one of their better performing players after the past two or so seasons, they would shake their head is disbelief, but this is exactly what has happened. The Newcastle captain has taken his opportunity, performing consistently and leading his injury-ridden squad. Lascelles scored his sides second goal in the Magpies win over Chelsea.

Kobbie Mainoo – Manchester United
18 year-old midfielder Kobbie Mainoo had one of the best Premier League debut’s for a teenager we have seen in years. His performance against Everton was sensational. His composure, maturity and overall ability with the ball at his feet showed he is simply too good to stay in academy football, he is ready to start games in the Premier League.
🚨🚨🎙️| Rio Ferdinand on Kobbie Mainoo:
“I don’t know how they could give the man of the match award to another player. At 18 years old, especially in midfield, it’s very rare to see such a performance. Outside, at Goodison, in such circumstances. A crazy performance.” pic.twitter.com/jEehRsJEel

Kai Havertz – Arsenal
£65-million pound signing Kai Havertz has been a divisive figure at the Emirates since his arrival from Chelsea, but he is slowly gaining momentum and becoming a key performer for the Gunners. Havertz showed great awareness and instinct to show-up at the back-post in the 89th minute to secure a very important win away at Brentford.

Forwards:
Anthony Gordon – Newcastle United
Eddie Howe is developing a monster Premier League winger in Anthony Gordon. The former Everton player had another impressive performance in Newcastle’s demolition of Chelsea. Gordon got a goal and assist alongside a devastating display in his battle with Reece James that saw the Chelsea fullback sent-off.
💬 “When we signed him, we knew we were signing a player of huge potential.”

Alejandro Garnacho – Manchester United
The Argentinian winger has been one of the few bright sparks for Manchester United and is giving Erik ten-Hag a selection dilemma. Garnacho scored arguably the greatest Premier League goal of all-time against Everton, a bicycle kick like no other, a goal not even Wayne Rooney’s Manchester Derby bicycle could contend with.

Willian – Fulham
One of the more experienced forwards in the Premier League, Willian has seen and done it all. The Brazilian has shrugged off his poor spell at Arsenal and returned to London with high-quality performances. The Fulham winger scored a brace of penalties to secure a controversial win over Wolves.
Willian has scored all seven of his Premier League penalties.
Only Yaya Toure (11/11), Dimitar Berbatov (9/9) and Ruben Neves (8/8) have better 100% penalty records in the competition’s history.
