French U/21 striker Georginio Rutter is set to join Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion following a verbal agreement. The 22-year-old Leeds striker is expected to undergo a medical soon, with Brighton prepared to activate his £40 million release clause.

Rutter scored eight goals and assisted 16 in 51 appearances during the 23/24 Championship season, as Leeds United missed out on a return to the Premier League following relegation. His departure to Brighton & Hove Albion is set to reinforce the Seagulls’ attack under Roberto De Zerbi’s successor Fabian Hurzeler.
The French attacker distinguished himself with impressive stats in several key areas, leading the Championship last season in open play chances created (88), open play assists (16), dribbles (318), duels won (384), through balls (30), and fouls won (125).
