Spain secured their fourth European Championship title with a 2-1 victory over England in the final. Spanish forward Nico Williams opened the scoring early in the second half, assisted by Lamine Yamal. Yamal yet again delivered a stellar pass to Morata who failed to convert in the final third.
England’s Cole Palmer equalized in the 73rd minute with his second touch of the game, following a back pass from Jude Bellingham. Real Sociedad’s Oyarzabal came on as a substitute to upset Gareth Southgate’s men after sneaking in a late strike past Jordan Pickford to seal a 2-1 win for Spain.
