The iconic San Siro officially named the Stadio Guiseppe Meazza in 1980 has been the centre of Italian football clubs AC Milan and Inter Milan and fans for many years.
Built in record time of 13 months, the City of Milan expanded the stadium in 1935 after its initial construction in 1925 to 1926. It became the shared home of both rival Milan clubs in 1947 after its first expansion to the capacity of 55 000.
Recently debate has sprung up about its potential demolision to make way for a new and improved stadium, however not all parties have been in agreement in that regard.
