The draw for the 2018 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup has been made, with former champions Mamelodi Sundowns being drawn against either LLB Académic FC or Rayon Sport.The draw for the preliminary rounds of the respective Africa competitions took place at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt and pitted 2016 2016 CAF Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns against either Burundi side LLB Académic FC or Rwanda’s Rayon Sport.
Current Absa Premiership champions Bidvest Wits are set to face Mauritian outfit Pamplemousses in the preliminary round to clinch a spot in the CAF Champions League group stage qualifiers.

2017 CAF Confederation Cup finalists SuperSport United were drawn to face Angolan outfit Atletico Petroleos or Mali’s Master Security, while tournament debutants Cape Town City do duty against Swaziland outfit Young Buffaloes in their first-round qualifier.
