Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredoejvic cut a frustrated figure following his sides 0-0 draw at home against Namibian side African Stars in their CAF Champions League first leg first round tie.
The Soweto giants failed to utilise their home ground advantage as they were held to a surprise goalless stalemate by Namibian minnows African Stars at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday night.
Sredojevic was visibly annoyed after the clash and categorically stated that he could not understand why they performed so poor on the night.
‘I don’t know where the problem is‚’ he said in post-match comments.
‘Whether we were still exhausted from last Saturday’s final (Telkom TKO against Baroka FC) or the league game against Free State Stars (on Wednesday)‚ I don’t know.
‘Our build up play was simply not effective enough to bring the balls in the area and when we created a few chances we were not clinical enough to bury them,’ he added.
The Buccanneers will have to secure victory in Windhoek where they will play on an artificial pitch at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
‘The second leg will be completely different because the opponent will play at home and will have the advantage of an artificial pitch.
‘When you have that in mind you need to prepare well and I’m looking forward to at least getting a draw with a goal.
‘We believe that we can still get a good result in Namibia,’ he claimed.
