Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane believes the Egyptian giants are capable of winning a third consecutive Caf Champions Leage title.
The Red Devils were drawn in Group A alongside the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Hilal, and Al Merreikh following the conclusion of the group stage draw at the CAF headquarters in Cairo on Tuesday.
The South African mentor has already won two continental titles with Al Ahly as well as winning the Caf Super Cup but Mosimane is now eyeing his third Champions League title with the Egyptian giants.
“When you take charge of a club like Al Ahly, you’re always under pressure, you have to win continental titles,” Mosimane told the media.
“I’ve already won two titles, why not win another one, it’s not an easy task, but my team has the capabilities to do it.
“Our group is difficult, Al Ahly hasn’t won their game in Sudan in a while, it will not be easy.
“Facing Sundowns will be difficult too, they want to beat us but we can get the victory again.”
