Real Madrid and Luka Modric have officially agreed to extend the skipper’s contract by a year and will be linked to the club until June 2025.

Since arriving in 2012, Modric has cemented his name in Real Madrid’s history books and after 12 seasons has become a legend of the club following his 39 goals and 87 assists in 534 appearances.
Modric has won 26 titles with Los Blancos, which include six UEFA Champions League’s, five FIFA Club World Cups, four La Liga titles, two Copa Del Rey and five Spanish Super Cups. He is also one of five Real Madrid players to have won the UEFA Champions League six times and is amongst the most decorated players in the club’s history.
His individual accolades include a Ballon d’Or, FIFA Player of the Year, and UEFA Player of the Year award. Modric has also been part of FIFA FIFPro World IX six times and has been voted UEFA Champions League’s Best Midfielder twice.
