Kylian Mbappé has found top form in 2025, developing a strong partnership with Jude Bellingham at Santiago Bernabéu.
Carlo Ancelotti has addressed Mbappé’s adjustment at Real Madrid, stating that his adaptation period was long over and that he was already displaying his quality, though there is still room for improvement.
His recent performances have validated that assessment, as the French forward continues his prolific goal-scoring run. On Saturday, Mbappe scored twice against Real Valladolid, bringing his total to 21 goals in 32 appearances.

Mbappé’s fast start has drawn comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo’s first season at Madrid back in the summer of 2009. After scoring in the UEFA Super Cup against Atlanta United, Ronaldo initially struggled in La Liga and the Champions League.
Tactical adjustments by Ancelotti have reignited Mbappe’s form, putting him on track for over 30 goals this season, potentially surpassing Ronaldo’s 33-goal debut campaign.
Ronaldo, despite missing seven weeks due to injury, scored 33 goals in 35 appearances in his first season, though Madrid finished behind Barcelona and ended the year without silverware.
Mbappé has long cited Ronaldo as an influence, and now at Madrid, has the opportunity to match or even exceed his idol’s early achievements.
