Lamine Yamal suffered an early ankle injury during Barcelona’s 1-0 loss to Leganes on Sunday, and is running for fitness ahead of Barca’s next Liga clash with Atletico Madrid.
Lamine Yamal picked up an ankle injury in the 17th minute against Leganes and continued on playing till the 70th minute and was substituted in the 75th minute.
His replacement called for major concerns over whether he will be available to play Barcelona’s last match of the year against second placed Atletico Madrid.
He is currently undergoing medical tests to determine whether he’ll be eligible to feature against Atleti. He may miss the entire season if his injury is more severe than the team believes, but it would interfere with his debut in 2025.
