Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas believes his side deserved to win after their performance against Free State Stars in the MTN8 quarter-final at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
After failing to register a win in their first to Absa Premiership games, Amakhosi cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Ea Lla Koto in their MTN8 quarter-final clash through goals by Dumisani Zuma, Leonardo Castro and Khama Billiat.
Solinas was full of praise for his side following their victory, but the Serbian tactician says he is already focusing and planning for their next game.
‘I’m very proud of my players. Today the performance is brilliant, we played very well,’ Solinas told SuperSport TV after the match.
‘We deserve to win this game, now we focus on the next game and continue to work hard because the road is still long.’
However, Solinas insists that his side works hard during training to and puts in more effort to play more attacking football for the whole 90 minutes.
‘Kaizer Chiefs need to play attacking football, play the whole 90 minutes with the same idea. We need to improve and I’m very confident with the future because the players are training hard and putting the effort,’ he concluded.
