Despite holding a slight advantage over SuperSport United heading into the MTN8 semi-final second leg, Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas admitted that he won’t change his attacking philosophy, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

After last weekend’s 2-2 draw in Attridgeville, Chiefs could book a spot in the final with a draw at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The Glamour Boys seem to be finding their attacking rhythm under Solinas, with Khama Billiat and Leonardo Castro in particular showing signs of producing the devastating partnership which they formed at Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Soweto Giants have, however, been shaky at the back having conceded seven goals in five games in the Absa Premiership.

With the semi-final hanging in the balance many wondered if Solinas would take a different approach to Saturday nights game against SuperSport considering the delicate nature of the scoreline.

Speaking to the press at a Chiefs media day building up to the encounter Solinas was asked if he would be looking to change his approach in order to seal a final berth.

Shaking his head furiously Solinas responded, ‘We are not a team that can manage the result, we are a team that plays football and tries to score.

‘In our mind the game is 0-0, we do not think about the first leg because this would be a big mistake.

‘We will play to win this game,’ added the Italian.
