Cape Town City midfielder Thabo Nodada is confident his side has what it takes to beat Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup quarter-final on Sunday.
The Citizens will be hoping for a positive result against the Absa Premiership log leaders as they continue in their bid to win silverware this season.
Nodada will be hoping his side can continue their winning momentum against the top side’s in the PSL, declaring they are ready and determined to take on Pitso Mosimane’s side and book their place in the semi-final of the competition.
“It’s definitely special – some say it’s the final before the final,” Nodada told the media. “We played Pirates before and got the result there, and going into this one, we’re looking for the same there – hard work, determination, and looking to get into the semis.
“For us, it’s just about momentum – we played Wits and we won, we played Pirates and we won, and now it’s Sundowns, another big one. I think we’re ready and will give it our best.”
Cape Town City are set to welcome Mamelodi Sundowns to Cape Town Stadium when the two sides go head-to-head in the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup on Sunday, with kick-off set for 15:00.
