Mamelodi Sundowns left back Siyabonga Zulu says he is relishing the chance to make his debut against Cape Town All Stars in the Nedbank Cup on Friday.
The 24-year-old made 66 appearances in all competitions during his time at Platinum Stars before joining the Brazilians during the January transfer window.
Zulu feels he is ready to make his debut for Sundowns and deliver after he was named on the bench for their last three matches.
“The past two weeks have been good, I am enjoying it. The style of play [is good] and I am coming alright. I won’t say it’s not difficult, but I am enjoying it,” Zulu told KickOff.com.
“I would be ready to play because I was playing at my previous team. If I get a chance, I will be ready [to deliver].”
The former Pirates left back says he is relishing the chance to win silverware with Sundowns, especially the Caf Champions League.
“This team wants to win cups and this is something I have wanted in my career. I wish to see myself lifting the Nedbank Cup and the league [trophy] as well,” he added.
“We are five points clear at the top and I don’t see us losing any games until the end of the season. We need to work hard.
“I’d like to win the Champions League, then I’d be happy.”
The match at Athlone Stadium kicks off at 20:00.
