Manchester City defender John Stones reflects on his game against 10-men Arsenal despite scoring a last-gasp equaliser in a fiery clash at the Etihad.
John Stones snatched a last-minute equaliser as defending Premier League champions Manchester City drew 2-2 against Arsenal on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal were confident to walk away with all three points against City, until substitute Stones finished from range deep into second-half stoppage time, scoring his 17th goal for the club.
John Stones’ stoppage-time equalizer set a new record as Manchester City’s latest-ever goal in a Premier League match (since 2006/2007). It came from their 28th shot of the second half, tying for the second-highest number of shots by a team in one half of Premier League football (since 2003/2004), just behind City’s 34 shots against QPR in 2012.
