Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will continue his stay at the helm of the club, after agreeing to extend his contract by two more years.
The 67-year-old mentor met with club owner Stan Kroenke on Monday to discuss his future with the club, with the subsequent decision to extend his stay to be relayed to directors at a board meeting on Tuesday.
Reports indicate that the French tactician, who has been in charge of the Gunners for over two decades, has penned a two-year extension, with formalities set to be concluded on Wednesday.
Wenger’s contract extension comes on the back of his side’s FA Cup triumph over Chelsea, which arguably sealed his fate. Wenger has led Arsenal to three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup trophies.
