Bafana Bafana defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele says his side shouldn’t throw away their chance of qualifying for the Russia 2018 World Cup when they take on Cape Verde.
The South African national team are set to travel to Estadio Nacional de Cabo Verde for the first leg on Friday, before they welcome the Blue Sharks to the Moses Mabhida Stadium on 5 September.
The 27-year-old will be hoping that Bafana Bafana can secure two wins against Cape Verde to qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
“We need to consolidate our position by winning the two matches. It has been long since South Africa last qualified for the Fifa World Cup, and this is one good opportunity we shouldn’t throw away,” Mphahlele told Safa.net.
Bafana Bafana against Cape Verde kicks off at 20:30.
