Dutch central defender Virgil Van Dijk has replaced Al-Ettifaq bound Jordan Henderson as the new Liverpool captain.

Van Dijk is going into his seventh season with the Reds since joining from Southampton in January of 2018.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been named vice-captain, replacing James Milner who has joined Brighton after leaving the club at the end of the 2022/23 season.
